Well we just finished the LFWA CFSAC concentration.Surprisingly enough there actually was one this year.I guess when the area commander decides he wants to "dominate" CFSAC people pay attention.We had about 30 shooters including the two coaches,who were myself and 2x QM winner Dave Oakie,out in Chilliwack for 10 days.We had both regs and reserve out and it seemed like the folks were learning a lot.Scoring went way up and many possibles were shot by the last day.The guys shot a lot of pistol as well.Hopefully some of them will be able to come on here and relate thier experiences a little.
Hopefully we'll be able to give LFCA a little more of a challenge this year.;)

Was good to finnally meet you and sharkbait, also can't remember Will's handle, but was an awesome experience for me as a first time shooter to Service rifle. learned alot from you and the BCR boys, as well as the boys from 3VP. looking forward to CFSAC!!! and beyond!! Make sure you find out what spices were on those prawns so we can do up a bunch in Ottawa!!! Oh ya Pics to follow of you!!!! hehe
 
Great fun in Chilliwack. Awesome coaching made all the difference in the world to scores, thanks to Longshot and Dave O for all the help and teamwork.

Still recruiting 1 CMBG guys for the reg team, next training concentration will be about 3-11 Aug in Edmonton. Hopefully Dave O can make it. Jay T, try to come up for it.
 
Is there a reason that non-RCMP LE agencies are not allowed to compete in CFSAC? I asked one of the CFSAC guys at CANSEC a few weeks ago and he mentioned we could go as "guests" but not actually shoot:confused:

Good question, one that only LFDTS can answer. I know they invite other police agencies to the CF Sniper Concentration, but only the RCMP is invited to CFSAC. The RCMP are eligible to compete in the Queen's Medal Competition in the Reserve Force category.
 
Diamond cutter, I will try, I am in the process of buying a house and 3-11 Aug is right after our possession date. 22 July. Going to be a crazy time for me! I will though be on the range almost weekly until CFSAC though got to practice, practice, practice. headed for Grande prairie tomorrow for the Tactical Response Fighting Pistol course, should be a good go. If you are looking for guys for the team PM bigtex441 I know he would most definetly be a great asset to the team. I will PM you with his particulars.

Bugger I hear your going down the the US on a posting. You better leave your guns with me those other guys will just drool all over them causing rust. I'll take better care of them for you. :D

LFWA folks - I briefed the Boss on Tuesday. He was EXTREMELY pleased with the Concentration, with the shooters' attitudes, and with (especially) the coaching. BZ. MTF on that.

Well done to you all - without your hard work, we wouldn't be getting this far this fast!

Good of you to offer, Phil...you can start with cleaning up that Enfield of mine;)

Great range BTW. X2 on getting the pistol range done ASAP.

Range Warden needs a raise too for the hard work he's been doing.

The concentration was excellent and everyone showed improvement on rifle and pistol. Good crew to work with (Reg and Res, no difference). Hope to see everyone at the next concentration and at CFSAC.
