new Glock model for 2010

It's too bad they don't come out with a pistol caliber carbine that takes their pistol mags. It would be a perfect companion to the pistols themselves. Sort of like the Beretta pistol and Storm carbine combo.

Since it's been done so often in 9mm by various outfits it would make sense to do it in .40S&W to fit in with what a lot of the North American police forces are using as sidearms. Mind you a version in 9mm would also likely prove popular with the European forces as well.

New models, new grip texture & configurations???

I thought Glock was "perfection" as is? :p

NAA.

Great - now Glock can claim innovation on an idea that's been around for ten years!!!:nest:

P.S. they are only changing because they HAVE TO. M&P and others have taken a bite out of revenue I'm sure.

There's an old adage in business, if you're not growing (and I would argue, innovating) you're dying...they need to learn it.

The Kriss design is a failure. An answer to a question no asked. Utilizing Glock mags is the only good part about it.

As a successful product it has failed, as a system it works decently, there is already a huge selection in the PDW market which has been slowly shrinking as lightweight carbines evolve.

Nah, they are just copying HK again, like they did with the polymer frame, polygonal barrel, etc. Why innovate when you can emulate? Just ask the Chinese...

Exactly. The era of subguns is not as vast as it once was. The compact carbine is gaining ground and rightfully so.

While they're fixing the grip issue, I wonder if they'll fix the FTE/Mag problems that cost them the Milwaukee PD contract?
