I read a while ago about not using Frontier bullets in the M14. I cannot find the original post as the search function almost never finds what I'm looking for lol.

What is the consensus now? Has there been a determination on whether or not the Frontier bullets are ok for the M14 and if there at all accurate?

Certainly not the most accurate bullet in the two guns I've tried them in, but not "inaccurate" either. Essentially they are a cylinder with a flat point - not usually synonymous with great accuracy, and given that they are CMJ, not legal for hunting, so the question is: "What is their application"? They are less expensive than say Hornady FMJ, so to me, they are perfect for low cost plinking for those who don't cast or don't want to use cast bullets.

Hmmm, these sounded interesting, so I had a look at them on Marstar's web site. I was a bit surprised at the price ($10-$15 per 50); they aren't particularly cheap in comparison to cheap jacketed bullets, or decent bulk pricing on real match bullets. Perhaps "somewhat" cheaper, but in no way cheap as dirt.

Well since they seem to be the only people with fmj/cmj bullets in stock for a reasonable price I think they'll do what I need them to do. I'll let you know what happens with the ones I load.

You can use fmj for hunting in ontario but not cmj?
