Got an e-mail from a US supplier that the US Postal Service returned an order because they had security concerns with regard to the contents being shipped to Canada........This had the neccessary permits......

That's crappy. I've had a bunch of stuff sent USPS from the states, never had a problem.

But, I'm also experiencing a longer than average wait time for a package containing a bedding kit and wolff springs from brownells

If they were for the original M14 and not the M1A. I'm pretty sure no amount of paper work will get those out of the states.

I just got 2 packages in the mail this week from Brownells, both were just under $100.00 US, with no problems. What did you order?

its only been 15 days (including weekends) since my order has shipped and I'm used to that timelapse from brownells so no jumping around grabbing my head in anger

I order all my 10/22 bolt handles through Thorn Engineering in the States.

Andrew there is a great guy, but sometimes they can take forever. Customs can be a pain in the ass that way. Ive got some really fast, others Ive waited 4 weeks for. It drives me crazy.

"...Wolff springs..." You can buy 'em directly from Wolff. They treat Canadian orders just like American orders. They'll take your order over the phone too. $25US minimum though.

Fom the US, USPS. Any where from 30 days to 45 days, in my experience. Also, depends upon how long it sits in canadian customs.

I get all my small parts (under 1 LB sent Frist class mail.)
It smokes on thru takes 7 to 10 days tops and never lost and order only got taxed once cause the value was over $80 but ive had plenty sent that were $99 Value no hold up no Taxes Customs fees ect.

Dixie gun works charge min $18 but ship frist class for like $3 on small parts so i always order lotsa stuff not just one Spring from them its still $18 even if its a box full of stuff or a small envelope.

Brownells has been OK but there orders and Numrich gun parts Corp seem to take the longest to get to me.
