Which hunting rifle do you love to hate?

Holy crap Eagleye, maybe it would be quicker to just say what you like. :p

As for guns I do not like, 2 words: Baikal and Stoeger.

Have to say I handled a T3 Lite in the store and disliked the feel and the action. Almost bought a Sako 85 instead of my 700 but truely hated the synthetic stock. Looked like rubbermade kitchen ware.

Also the Tikka will probably only need 1 shot to sight in with a Shepard scope.

Browning, I hate the feel, I dont like the safety & yes I'm sure they can be a great firearm especially the Belgium ones either way I still dont like them!!!!
 
I ####ING HATE the marlin 1894 where the entire side of the receier moves and what with the wood on those is it even wood? ughh and the remington model seven the bolt feels like a gritty POS
 
I was not impressed by the remington 700.

I have never been more disappointed in a gun than trying out one in 30-06. Felt like a toy, tooling marks all over, kept jamming, then the mag would jam in place, stock uncomfortable etc etc etc etc... I'll stick to my mosin thank you very much ;)

You guys are so harsh about so many guns! Are you gun haters? I used to look down on Lee-Enfields but now own a couple of #4s and a #5 and particularly enjoy carrying & shooting the #5. I used to think Marlins were no good for anything but now have a 32 special, a 35 Rem and a 444, and the action on that 444 is sooo smooooth! Again all are enjoyable. And so on for hating others until I actually spent time shooting them, getting to know them and what they are good for. I even liked how the accuracy of a friend's Rem 710 which I would never buy anyway matched or bettered the 250 and 243 we were shooting. If I have to hate something, I would say that when I see it, I hate how the same model gun is now made cheaper, less well fitted and finished than it used to be. But even that can be a positive--I like used guns that show fit, finish and character that is less easy to find in their new replacements. So just keep on trading in those old guns you hate when you buy the new ones! I'll be out there looking for them.
 
Remington anything. I can not say enough bad about them and their lack of support for Canadians. Bad company and bad products but with their advertising and people wanting to buy cheap chit they will do well. Just not by me.

What enfield have you been grabbing? The bolt on my enfield is FAR smoother than any new rifle I have fondled (tikkas included). Granted, it certainly won't outshoot your tikka.

My rifle that I love to hate: Those Benelli semi-autos, talk about FUGLY!
 
oh i forgot all these new space age looking guns, i may be yung but i love walnut and blued steel and when i see things like that fugly remington 887 nitro and browning maxus those are fugly as hell. Also im sure it shoots well but the browing cynergy is just to "sleek" and spacey looking for my tastes. Finaly the new synthetic benellis with that ugle blocky trigger guard.

Huh?:confused:

LE's may not be comparable to many modern rifles in terms of ergonomics, triggers and scoping potential, but being #### on closing the bolt tends to be effortless to open and on most they tend to cycle quite smoothly.

What exactly do you mean? A stiff bolt lift?
