Rimfire resetting target

Agree on these being awsome fun targets. I have the CT one as well, it has survived hundreds and hundreds of hits from 25-100 yards, there is no paint left on most of it :) but no real dents in the metal. Best $40.00 I've spent in a while.

Like Grizzlypeg, I just use white paint every few times out. The stickers didn't last the first trip out. With the 10/22 I shoot it at 50y, with the pistols, it's more like 20y. The only damage mine has ever taken was from the time I hit it with 00 buckshot, the top resetting paddle is a little deformed still. Good times, great little target, don't use the shotgun on it ;)

I have the round one, the animal one and a duelling tree in the range out back and do you know what the #1 reactive target is? Golf balls:rolleyes:!!!! Once somebody sees a golf ball bounce they find the steel boring:(. I still really like the duelling tree, I just wish it locked the targets when they were all on one side or the other though I guess that would stop the up one side down the other in 12 shots as fast as you can contests:D c'est la vie.

I too have one and found the paddles too light, welding a heavy washer on the backside of each paddle made a nice improvement on the target. The extra weight stopped them flipping over with excessive force which often would cause them to bounce back down. I also have a dueling tree for .22s, good fun when there are two of you shooting.

Good call Dawg!

I'm going to have to try that...what size washer did you use?

I spray mine with white paint before each session as well and my paddles are pretty beat up but still hanging in there.....if I could get them to stay up consistently it would be even more fun!

mine is a little different. The hang higher, and the reset paddle hangs downward.

Yep, fun for kids of all ages. :D :dancingbanana:

We have one with 4?? spinning targets hanging down and don't lock. They are round and different sizes.

The nice thing is it has just 2 "legs" that push into the ground. They are much too short so we first stick a couple of steel pipes into the ground and then put the target on top. Since we shoot on our farm, the grass is about 1 to 2 feet high and we woudn't be able to see the target if it is on the ground.

Usually shoot them from about 25 to 40 metres, offhand.

my range doesn't allow anything but paper targets.

apparently it used to be a gravel pit so lots of rocks, lots of ricochets...

i have one of these targets too, lots of fun!

I never seen any at the local CT store, pigeon throwers but no resetting targets. If they had one, I would of bought it by now.
I'm scared of what it'd cost to ship from Cabela's.

I know a couple welders, who also shoot, they'd probably make me one for some beer.

Shipping anywhere in Canada is $18.95 by UPS for the 3-5 day delivery, $8.95 for the cheapest shipping up to 1 week.

$10 for shipping, nice. I'll have to ask ctc manager or whoever to see if they can get me one. Pick whichever will be cheaper.
