I'm loking for some input about Leapers 8-32x56 Illuminated 30mm Tube scope and wondering how them compare to Falcon and Vortex crossfire (or is it crosspoint) scopes?

They're craptastic!

I bought one once just to see how it would function.
Wouldn't hold focus when you up'd the magnification.
Glass wasn't really all that clear... I suspected some of the lenses might actually be plastic.

I think I gave it away...

There's really no comparing the leapers to the Falcons or Vortex scopes, both of those scopes are vastly superior to the leapers. I would say to go with the Vortex, not to knock the Falcon scopes at all as they too are fantastic optics, but the Vortex scopes in my opinion have some of the best glass I've ever looked through for a scope under $500.

Well that's disapointing, I was all set to pick up a 6x24x50 for my .22lr... at $130, I guess it was too good to be true.

I read on another forum that they are decent scopes, does anyone else have any experience with leapers?

The cheapest scope I own that's any good is my Pentax 3-9x40 that I bought off of Ebay. Very clear and bright...and all for $99 USD plus shipping.

I've owned a couple of Leapers in the past for Rimfires, but they were really really cheap. I think they were $54 CAD each (3-9x32AO) and I just used them for my .22lr. They didn't have the clearest glass, but they held zero and they were really cheap.

Not worth the money if you're going to drop $150+ on Leapers. If you're going to spend $150+, you're probably better off with a cheap Tasco or Bushnell.
