As an FYI, I have used an AD-CM4 with SOCOM riser on an Aimpoint CompM4 for about three thousand rounds, to good effect.
Three weeks ago I spent a day shooting in very dry, dusty conditions.
Last weekend, the sight fell off after a mag change while I was prone. Thank goodness for my BUIS.
It turns out that the center "button" on the auto-lock lever was sticking. So I assume that it was sticking up, and the rest of the lever just walked itself loose under recoil. Another sound working assumption is that grit from three weeks ago played a role.
I've cleaned and lubed the locking "button" - now it functions properly - and have added this to my preventative maintenance routine.
All the same, a potentially unwelcome development - thought you'd like to know. If you have an ADM mount of any description, keep an eye on the locking button. It needs to move freely to do its job.
This is what I'm talking about - notice the rectangular button in the center of the lever.
