CZ 858 Tactical and non restricted picture thread

Question... besides tact scopes, is it possible or even feesable to put a scope on the thing, a simple 3x9. or is that just an outrageous ridiculous question and why would i ever want to put a freakin rifle scope on a cz 858;)...

Only because i would use it strictly for hunting, already got several competition race rifles.

We have mounted long eye relief pistol scopes in a scout poistion on 858's beofre. You will want to got to an aluminum handguard set up. return to zero is not guaranteed when disassembled for cleaning, but it seems to be the easiest way to achieve a scoped 858.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, but what would happen if you were out in "the bush" and an officer stumbled upon one of these magazines where the rivet might have fallen out, or what-have-you?

be careful how far back you mount the scope though. If its behind the rear sight it will likely attract ejected casings. :D

Very nice rifle, Hunter.:)

Just got a new sling to try out, (im)patiently waiting for a co-witness rail. Mine:

What mag pouches are you using?

That's an Original SOE AK/M4 Micro chest rig. The mag pouches have adjustable/removable lids and will hold 2 AK, Vz or AR mags in each. "Bullets up" only for the VZ mags and you have to make sure the front one goes in second as they fit snugly. I've got a first aid kit in the utility pouch and the back panel splits so you can put multi-tools, flashlights, chem lights etc there. The utility pouch and the back panel have loop velcro sewn in for attaching stuff.

Here's a couple more pics:

Not tacticool, but the latest incarnation. The pics don't do the color or the wood grain justice. It is really a darker red, not as bright as in the pic. Still putting on the boiled linseed, coat number 9 tonight. Awaiting the muzzle brake, and mag release. I still need to trim off the rail to have easy access to under the hand guard for cleaning.

i like the look of that one.i might have to buy another just to keep the wood and stain it.

Stevo that looks good. I'm hoping to find something like that but instead of a utility pouch I want it to hold 8 mags.

The search continues...

Stevo,

I like that rail. I recall seeing something like that in a thread but I can't recall which one. What, where and $$$ please.
Oh, Do you know if it returns to zero after after re mounting?

Edit: I found the thread but still need to know about Zeeero.

Thanks, that's what I'm aiming for.

Smart combination, the vz. 58 is one of the lightest military style rifles out there. I'll be doing something similar. Restricted folder + non-MOLLE AK-style chest rig for max ammo capacity. It will make a great go-to running survival kit for when civilization collapses.
