I have a Colt 1911 Gold Cup National Match 70 series blued
and I want a restricted Glock 26. Would that trade be a smart thing to do?
Should I just wait a while until more Glock 26's come into Canada if they ever do.
Just want opinions from more experienced people than myself.

Thanks
Bill

No.............................

Personally, and speaking as a 1911 fan, as much as I like Glocks, I wouldn't trade a Colt 1911 for one, especially not a Series 70 Gold Cup.

Keep the Colt and buy the Glock separately if you want to.... ;)

NAA.

The Glock 26 is totally impractical. It's not a comfortable pistol to shoot. A Glock 19 is a smart choice but you can't CCW that baby Glock. If Glock 26s or Sig 239s were nice and cheap here like they are in the U.S. then I'd own one for fun because I am a Glock guy (guilty, I admit it) but they're just not practical.

Go into your basement, close the door, and pistol whip yourself with that Colt for even thinking of ditching it for a Glock.

Hey Bill...Jeff here. :)

I don't know...are you "done" with the Gold Cup? I mean, for me I just like to try different stuff. ;) If you were to trade for a restricted G26, I'd see if the trader would kick in a little cash - but really, value wise it's not way off.

Those little Glocks are fun.

Do what you think...:)

Best wishes, Jeff.

PS - we gotta' get out to the range together one of these days.

kleenex doesn't make enough tissue for the tears you'll have if you trade away a COLT!!!! Especially for a Glock. Thats like trading a souped up muscle car for a high revving Honda. If I could ever afford to own a COLT, the last thing I'd do is trade it away. Hope you make the right desicion.
