Yesterday I was at the range playing with a few toys. I picked up this Norinco .22 mauser look-alike from a fellow gunnut with a 3-9x scope and wanted to stretch her legs a bit, as well as sight-in a few others. What a tack driver! To all of you that claim noricos are all crap, you're out of your element, please stop talking. I was fairly consistantly nailing a tennis ball at 200 meters! seriously! I'm hard pressed to do that with my ar! The neat thing was that the sun came in at just the right angle, and I could follow the bullet's arc all the way in. Kinda cool to get a feel for ballistics that way! I was shooting winchester gray box from C-tire, nothing special.

Mine was pretty accurate when I had it, Doesn't surprise me either since the first half of the barrell before the handguard is about 1 1/4 inches thick!

Talk about a heavy barrell eh.

Remarkable rifle! But I think the shooter is a bigger factor when hitting a target as small as a tennis ball at 200 metrs. Good job!

YOu have had a much better experience with norinco than I had, it turned out that the barrel was loose from the factory. I was able to return the gun for a refund no questons asked. Perhaps there quality has improved in the last couple of years.
