New problem with CZ 58 ??

So, it's brand new from the dealer, I cleaned it then went to shoot it.

Fine for around 50 rounds then the trigger group stopped releasing the striker, trigger feel like the safety is on.
After a fight I managed to remove the dust cover and was happy to find out that nothing seems loose or broken.

Back home I found the problem : the piece by the red arrow needs to be pushed about 1mm to the left in order for the trigger group to work




So far I'm thinking sending the rifle back but it sucks... any idea ?

Shimming it with a small washer? means taking apart the trigger assembly most likely.

I had exactly the same problem. I never solved it and just sold the rifle cheaply on the EE.

Check the stickies

I had the same issue and was able to solve it with a shim. I put another 1000rds throught the rifle before selling and it worked great.

Shim it. It will operate flawlessly afterwards and you'll still have the rifle.

so far I put a bubba shim and it seems to work.
What kind of shim did you use ?

I made one out of a piece of 9mm pistol brass.

I can probably find you a shim at work but you know you'll owe me big time.
