Magpul MBUS

I'm going to bet that we won't be saving THAT much money for these by the time they get here... which was the whole point of them. I'm probably just going to go with another trusty Troy.

Agree with that. Troy are available here and although I like the idea of MBUS in FDE there will probably be a minimal difference in cost once they are landed, taxed etc. Troy also has HK style front sights and tritium now ....

MBUS vs TROY

Additionally Magpul cautions that their MBUS shouldnt be mounted on a railed front gasblock due to heat issues (probably not a concern in Canada but adds another point to the Troy set...

That doesn't make any sense. They retail for about $99US for the set (front & rear) in the US. How is that not saving a substantial amount over anything Troy/MI, etc?

Sorry but the MBUS are crap, plastic sights are for the birds. I like Magpul products but these is beyond stupid. There's issues with heat when mounted to gas blocks, I've seen photos of a cracked sight after over tightening the screw. One can only imagine the performance in extreme cold. Troy for the win.

Of all the really nice magpul products they have come up with these MBUS are not very good, whats the thinking on these? Leftover from their Airsoft division??

How do you figure same price?

Set of troys will set up back close to $300 here. I haven't seen anybody sell a set of Magpul sights for that much.

You're quite the hater.

Magpul can slap their name on anything and it'd sell.

I bet if UBR/CTR are made by another company nobody would even look at them.

Now flame away! LOL.

I remember a week or so ago, a pack of rabid airsofters went berserk over a genuine UBR on eGhey. Sold for $700. I died a little inside.

Cheapest I can find is $240 a set for Troy and just under $100 for the MBUS(in the US that is). Even at a 40% the cost of a set of Troy sights, I still see no advantage to the MBUS.

Thank you for all your kind comments regarding TROY sights, in an effort to pass on some savings to you all, for a limited time I will offer front and rear sights sets for $280.00 + tax/shipping, the tritium sights are still being worked on and when the paperwork is completed, they will also be offered as a stock item.

Great deal. Thanks for bringing these into Canada. the paperwork must be a hassle!!! They are good kit !!!!
Again MBUS would be a good choice if there were a BIG price difference (there is one in teh EE now - optics and sights) but the Troy are better for my needs.

No ... I dont hate MagPul...

The Magpul MBUS sights are starting to become available in the US now (US distributors are starting to receive inventory) and should be here in Canada very soon...

I expect Canadian pricing to be @ $149.99 for the set. Could be less depending on what currency exchange rates do over the next month or so.
