What is the most accurate (Non-Target) pistol today?

Accuracy, don't laugh, but Hi-Point. OK, not THE best, but very good, and will generally match most guns under $1000.
As for other semi autos in current production, the high end 1911's would be the ones to beat. Les Baer has a 1 1/2" at 50 yard accuracy guarantee with selected models.
Most SVI's will do about 1" at 50 yards and are guaranteed to be less than 1.5"

Sphinx 3000 ( I really want one) is good, which itself is a CZ 75 based design. Though, I don't know where to get one.

The Norconia 1911 that I have is quite accurate, too.
I can also shoot the G17 quite well also.
Trigger on the XD 45 allows me to shoot well, too.

CZ 75 series ; SP 01 shadow may be the best in 9mm class if not. Read the article and go buy one.

I was under the impression the CZ SP01 was basically "the" pistol but it's really still an underdog isn't it? Everyone and their uncle would be wise to definetly check it out. I actually like it more than any other 9mm competition pistol I've shot, it's unique, fires smoothly and holds it own in competition with other pistols double it's price. I only wish there were better grips out there for the CZ SP01.
I started this thread as a follow up to my previous thread of "what is the best full steel pistol". My basic quest was to find a full metal (hate plastic), accurate and reasonably priced handgun that can function both as a reliable ordinary service gun and an occasional target pistol.
It is now clear to me that the Cz 75 B and/or its more accuracy oriented cousin, CZ SP-01 Shadow are on the top of the list. Would you guys agree with that?

I have had CZ Shadow, STI Target Master, Trojan, CZ85 combat, Taurus SS627 (revolver), and other 1911's all in 9mm and the most accurate one was by far the Trojan (STI).
The Shadow is probably accurate but my smallish hands did not allow me to shoot well with it.
Try some and go for a good 1911 from STI. You will not regret it !

If you are buying a gun for target work and you want guaranteed accuracy, you need to pay for it. If you are a novice shooter and group 8" at 25m, then it will not really matter what gun you get. I don't dispute posters that recommend various guns of theirs because they have one that shoots well, but the chances of you getting a High Point that shoots really well are fairly small. Furthermore, sights, trigger and grip are all important to you if you want to be able to shoot the gun as well as you can. Getting quality and an accuracy guarantee all cost money. Otherwise you are faced with trial and error sampling of various firearms hoping to find the right combination.

I would say the CZ97 - used mine as a target pistol last weekend and I out shot my custom 1911 with it.
I'm into target pistols, so my experiece is limited with non-specific pisto, but the CZ97 is impressive!

Actually the Showdow is not more expensive than the 75B, it come with a nice trigger and target night site, a better slim rubber grip, Add all this together and you will find it is cheaper than a 75B. But I still love my 75B because the Shadow don't come with satin nickel finish.

I dont know if its justified or not, and I cant tell you if 1 shoots better than the other because I havent shot any of them .but The 1 im considering is the CZ SP-01 Tactical in .40S&W. the grip feels WAY better than CZ-75B and I would definatly go that way for a few more bucks.I havent held the shadow but i think the only diff between the tactical and the shadow is the sites
