Just so you guys know, Dlask Arms has some 14.5" AR-15 barrels in right now, government profile, in a 1-8 twist. $220 + shipping. Just bought one to put away for a future build, and I don't think they had many left.
.

.

Thanks for the heads-up. I called DLASK and they raised the concern about new gas block, front post.. I'm a newbie to my AR. Got a S&W M&P-15, with a 16inch barrel (reason why I want a 14.5"er), Carbine length 'cept for the barrel of course.
Would this be a straight barrel "swap", or would I need to address the gas-block, get a new one... Feedback please, if you know.
Thanks!
Check their site.. nice products..

Alex,
They should be able to swap the barrell for you, but you will have to let them re/re the front FSB (front sight base - gasblock). The 14.5 and 17" should both be standard carbine length gastubes unless S$W uses a midlength gastube???
