Got my Remy 1875 Mexican contract Revolver restored (pics)

This is a rare Mexican contract Remington 1875.
Mexico ordered a couple thousand 1875s from Remington and wanted them all in 45 Colt.
This one has the 45 Caliber .454 twist gain rifled bore.
The top of the Barrel has the Mexican Sun stamp and another # on there.

As you can see the mexican who had this gun made the shortest 1875 i ever seen from a 7.5 inch gun.
The mexican who packed this gun musta been a nasty customer.
Looks like he had a Piece of string thru the laynard ring suport im thinking i will put a leather strap in there.
the grips are diffrent to.

I like the fact its a short 4.5 inch barreled gun as can be seen by the normal lengthed one in the other picture.
This gun has a 45 Schofield cylinder installed will never shoot 45 colt as the rounds cant chamber.
But its such a strong frame the 45 Schofields can be loaded to 45 colt Specs.

Anyway heres some pics. Shoots fantastic and is Accurate for such a short gun.

Thanks, the Restoration wasnt to bad as the frame and barrel were in good shape.
It was not in shooting condition when i bought it tho.
rusty looking with nickle here and there 3 % nickle left so i went with a rust blue after stripping the little nickle left.
the bolt was hand made with a file by some mexican, the hammer was good tho. and the loading gate was good to so really wasnt to bad.

Its like a swiss watch now tight as when it left the factory.
I like theses 75s cause there frames are supper strong and action is so smooth.
