Mossberg 930 SPX

I bought the 930 Combo... it's the only firearm I have kept for over 2 years and I have no intention to ever sell it.

It's the most reliable semi-auto shotgun I have ever used and I have owned a Benelli M2 (it didn't like trap loads very much).

The 930's will eat anything as fast as you can pull the trigger... limp or proper. For the cost, they can't be beat.

I've been through a few semi's now, always have the M4 on my mind though. I'm starting to think there is no alternative lol. I've been eyeballing the 930 also, but I think I'm just gonna buckle down and save up for an M4 instead. cheers

I have one of the original 930 SPX models. Wow and Wow! I have put over 700 birdshot rounds, 100 rounds of 00 Buck and 50 1oz. Remington slugs.

This beauty has digested everything without any issues. I have cleaned it every 200 rounds, it showed a good amount of carbon build up on the action but still shot and ejected all spent shells with ease.

If you can, get one. Whatever the price is its a hell of a lot cheaper than the tactical semi-autos out there. If you get your hands on one, check the front sight and make sure to bring lots of ammo. Its addicting.

If you have more questions, let me know

yeah, the ghost ring sights for shooting slugs ;)

Sometimes the front sight is canted or off centre, so make sure you can handle one from the factory and make sure they have good well aligned sights (if you want one with Ghost ring sights)

It is a bit of a problem they seem to keep having....

yes for sure guys if you buy a 930 with GR site have it checked out , there is over 8k of them 930s that need to be fixed for front site issues.

930 spx

Picked one up earlier this year from Milarm. I have only had time to put a mix of 150 rounds through it, but pleasantly impressed. Good value for a semi and no hiccups to speak of. Quality seems very good and the LPA GRS on mine are fine. I have used and highly respect the Benelli M4 but it is priced way too high. Depending on your intention for the shotgun the Mossberg will do everything the Benelli will do if you don't intend on "high mileage" usage. A few reports on the 930 SPX in US websites speak well of its function after 1500 rounds. Goodluck, they are a blast, no pun intended.:shotgun:

I'm interested in one as well; I'm very surprised that Mossberg would have THAT many units out the door with that issue!

I bought and shot a new (to me) mossberg 930 camo tonight. 10 rounds of skeet! Seemed to work pretty good, no failures and handled very well!

was ogling one at milarm this spring but already have a semi so got the 590. the semi is a mossberg 935 waterfowl pretty sweet so far and loves the 3.5's
