Just wondering how many belt fed owners are out there, and how many would be interested in getting together for a fun shoot/competition or what-ever on a Alberta shooting range? I'm just putting a feeler out to see if it's worth looking into.......Or if I'm behind the times and there is already one going let me know.:50cal::D
 
I am a belt fed owner in Calgary, Alberta. I might be interested in a belt fed shoot, though I only have an M1919A4/A6.
 
I've got an 1919A4 in 30-06 en-route so Im trying to track down fellow shooters for info and see if there is enough interest in an organized shoot.

I know there are some MG-34's out there as well.:D

I'm hoping to turn mine into a C5 clone if I can find out where all the Canadian parts went. As well as a 7.62mm conversion kit. I also heard on another American gun board there is a semi auto version of the MG-42 in the works.:rockOn:

I should have asked you also about the Canadian C5 parts, where they went and if any are available. Would atleast like to get a C5 cocking handle on there for now, then maybe do the caliber conversion down the road.

I'm also doing more checking into that MG-42 being built in the States I will pass the info your way if I can track it down.

All Milsurp ammo is getting fewer and far between in Canada...we just gotta get off our butts and get out shooting more to make the demand for ammo more worthwhile for dealers to import or start reloading.....there's tons of it in Europe... and Even M2 ball is very rare now. The CMP is even rationing it in the States. I talked with one dealer in E-town about M2 ball.....he had tons of it at one time (Greek & Korean) but couldnt get a market for it and sold all his stock to the states.

There still must be sh*tloads of 30-06, 7.62 and 8mm out there yet between Europe,Korea and the Balkan's???
 
I have a M-2 50 BMG and lots of ammo....let me know if you put a shoot together, would be a nice trip for a holiday and shoot....
would love to fire this thing up again..

Yes I am familiar with the one being sold, I will not comment on the quality of these guns except to say that we will NOT carry them for quality issues....
We do have an approved design for such a gun, accepted both in Canada and The US....
We were about the put it into production when a US company launched their version which was a disaster.... and left a bad taste in the mouth of many buyers....
So at the moment all we have are the two pre production guns here in the warehouse....

there are lots of ca belt feeds in canada but the last time i checked they would not issue a permit to take the guns out of the house.
