Anyone have an opinion on this pistol? Been offered one, and don't know much about it, other than my limited experience with its older brother. Is this a winner or loser?

Thanks for any input..

I have one of the new Baby Eagle II's in .40cal, it is well made,I found the recoil springs way to soft, had alot of fail to feed,it would jam,put in a 18lb recoil spring now it eats everything.Aftermarkets parts are slim aside from grips one company that makes sights,I wish I could find a fibre optic front sight. In all,I dont regret my purchase.

Yep, nice pistol, we have one in 9mm. It uses CZ and/or Tanfolio mags. The extra weight up front dampens muzzle flip.

It has one of the fastest shooting triggers I have ever shot. It is heavy and solid which I appreciate. As mentioned above there is a lack of parts for them around.

Haha... thanks, I'm still chuckling a bit myself too. Thanks again for people's input. Didn't know it was such a solid gun.
It's a decent gun, but better pistols can be had for the money. To put things in perspective, In Israel, where it is made, the Baby Eagle is issued to regular troops, while special forces use Sigs and Glocks.

In Israel, where it is made, the Baby Eagle.....

Hate to burst your bubble, but Baby Eagles are manufactured at the Tanfoglio factory in northern Italy. In fact, they are almost completely assembled there too. A few minor parts are added once the guns get to Israel which allows 'Made in Israel' to be stamped on the guns.

Not sure which bubble you think you're bursting. I know that the slide and frame are cast by Tanfoglio. My point about Baby Eagle/Jericho being considered a second-rate pistol in Israel (used primarily by regular conscripts, cops and security guards) still stands.

Baby DE's get a bad rap from people who have never owned them. I've had two, put thousands of rounds through them and never once had a problem. They look, feel, and perform great. I feel that for the money they are very tough to beat. Get one. You'll be happy.

Ditto, you will probably need a heavier spring for it. Great gun, one of the best, if only it were just a wee bit lighter/smaller...

If you like the grip feel of a CZ 75 and the extra weight up front from the full dustcover then you will like the Baby Eagle. I think they look pretty good accept for the safety on the slide.....

Have been shooting handguns for some 40 years and when I came across the BE a while back and tried its trigger (4lbs, I suggested to the dealer- no he said, at least 8 lbs- no I said 4 lbs). Checked out at 4 lbs and a bit under. Liked the feel and the mags. I bought it and so a few yew later my wife says she likes shooting it in preference to the S&W 686.

A good shooter, in my opinion.
