I'm going to guess this was a manager special or only my local ct store.... But if not you guy's should check your Canadain tire store. I went in for crossbow arrow tips and by chance glazed at the ammom display to find some insane price's.

Check out the price's like $4 a brick for .22

Not at my local store...I spent $21.99 on a brick of Federal 36G today. Congrats on your score though. I would clean them out if I ever saw prices like that.

I took everything they had on sale.... It was just a fluke the red tag that said $4 caught my eye and overtop of it was the 500 .22 box. Then the no way and i doubt it sunk in. Finaly found someone and got them to check it. While i waited i noticed more red tag's

After help to the front with my stash the cashier asked if it was a sale or just stocking up Make's me wonder if they get ammo for these price's or if there taking a loss?

Overall it was a very good weekend with the find of my $100 crossbow/6 easton's and the cheap ammo.

CT's are individually owned, so initially the store will take a loss on the product when it is red tag clearance but the corporation reimburses them at the end of the month for the difference on the loss.

i thought i read on here somewhere that the ct stores were going to get back into selling guns next trip in to ct ill ask a guy i went to school with here at the belleville store,

They sell guns here only a couple in the display case mixed in with air guns, however they did have a 10/22 and some other junk.

Zellers use to sell guns and ammo.

Just about everyone did; Zellars, K-Mart, Woolco, Sears, Hudson's Bay, CTC, Handy Andy (anyone else remember them?), etc.

I haven't checked my local ctc store yet. They don't stock much anyway but it's a good place to get .22lr (85% of their stock).
