Hi all,
In my search for my .22 rifle, I started looking at the US Survival rifle. I was wondering if, being made of ABS plastic, if it could warp/break under cold temps (-5C) or warm temps (+30C or more)?

Maybe it's written in the manual...if an actual owner could shime in, that would be very appreciated!

Wouldn't be much of a survival rifle if it were brittle in poor elements. I would hope that it would be good to go, at least from -40C to +40C. I don't own one, so I don't know.

Yup, exactly what I was thinking as well, however I remember reading that when the temperature plumets, plastic becomes very brittle. But I read that in a book where a guy went into the arctic circle during the winter...at that point (if I remember correctly... -68C without windchill), you kind of have to substitute all references to "cold" and use "fridgid" instead hehe.

"Improved" plastic barrel. "Improved", my butt...

In my experience, it may be warped already - at ROOM TEMPERATURE.

The solution? Replace the plastic POS with one made of metal.
