Bran Spanking NOOB Those all AR type restricted ?

Does the AR have ambidextrous safety - YES (mine does)

or bolt release? - YES (mine doesn't have it, but it's available)

Does it have a quick caliber conversion capability? - How many do you have for your XCR? Zero?

Can you charge it while it is at your shoulder? YES

Any other questions?

I can get a New BUSHMASTER XM15 E2S locally for $1700 is that good ?
 
Okay... What about the Tavor? Is it really non-restricted? Sounds way too good to be true but all sources say it is. What gives? It's even more evil looking than the AR. LOL!

Yup, it's non restricted, as all should be. It is awesome. Had one for a while and loved it, will be getting another soon.

Lucky you sir! I want one, but I can't do it now. I will have $3k saved up soon but it's going towards 3 restricteds... I can't have 'em all... Maybe Tavor one day if I turn into a full blown gun nut. :)
 
Why buy an AR when you can have a Tavor?

I just pick up Guns&ammo and there a wicked Ruger SR-556 in there.
Look pretty good and it's piston driven, those that means it will not be restricted since it's not a AR system ?

Call crazy if you want but I dont like the Tavor at all
 
So, has anyone considered that the AR15 is a poor man's Tavor? I mean, it depends... I'm going for the chinese AR... lol!

To the OP: just get the Tavor... non-restricted while RCMP says so!?
 
I'm saving $3k to fund 3 future guns... I don't want to deviate from that plan. 3 different calibres to play with will still be good but I won't have a Tavor. ARrrgh!

My current collection (i'm a noob) is useless to fund it... Sell 'em all at face value and will only buy me 33% of a Tavor. LOL!

The Tavor is now in used BMG terrority and that is something I would like too but would hardly shoot, so Tavor is the way to go. :)

I have one barrel in .223 remington. However, they are available in 7.62x39 and 6.8 SPC, with two others coming.

Yeah man, get one! Best bang for the buck. It shoots fine according to everyone here. Fit and finish, well... that's subjective.

I picked one up at Epps some weeks ago and wasn't too happy (I probably hyped myself up too much for it), but I changed my mind. I'm going for it and buy decent scope later with $$$ left over.

Grab a can of Duracoat from Fabsports and a cheapo compressor from Crappy Tire and you'll have a $1700 finish on your $900 AR with a little effort.
