It would be fun to burn through a mag in full auto but that is where the excitement would end, if it was really exciting to begin with. No muzzle rise, next to no recoil, its expensive, other then sounding good I'll stick with a real semi auto.
Yep you know the one with over 300 guns, and thousands and thousands of rounds of ammo.
And all priced at a king's ransom......

Guy in the video, fired about 100 rounds. He didn't even smile. If the guy selling the thing, isn't even enjoying it....
I can't see that the fun factor would be worth the intial cost of the gun, forget about the recurring cost of ammo. Not to mention, where do you use something like that. Unless you're testing police response times, you're not going to use it at home (urban areas anyway, where 90% of Canada lives). And if I'm at the range, I like blowing stuff up, which this gun doesn't do.
It's not a replica, as to be a replica it has to look like something. Even Hi-Points look nicer than this thing. I think it's pug fugly looks are just to ensure it's not classed as a replica.
I'd love it if a friend were to purchase one, hand me a magazine, and tell me to let'er rip. Aside from that, I don't see me ever buying or even using one of these, and I'm okay with that.

The movies use real working firearms, they use blanks with a cap (or something in the barrel) I can't remember what I was told by a friend of mine they now use that works in the business.
As to buying blanks for your firearm, I have never seen them. Would be interesting though. Oh never mind, I have seen them.. only rifle casings. They are all bent at the neck. One of the sponcers might have a line on some blanks.
i remember having a couple of blank guns when i was 18. a beretta m9 and a small subcompact one with a non-freedrop mag.... expensive as hell.

I have the Zoraki 914 in the titanium finish, which I bought for a play I was directing at the time. It makes noise and flashes just like a real gun, but since it's not a replica of a specific firearm, it's classified as a 'non-gun.' Ergo, no RPAL needed.
Since the play's ended, I have a really expnsive paperweight in my gun cabinet.
Oh: A bud of mine who doesn't know pistols was handling it the second day I had it. He said 'So, where's the mag rel--' and depressed the button, dropping the mag onto my kitchen floor... where the base plate broke off. I sent e-mails around, but you can't get a new baseplate for the 914 mag. Buyer beware. Oh, and thank the gods for Krazy Glue.
