all right here it is now with photos.

I wanted a nice little rifle with a mid lenght gas system and 16"-18" barrel and adjustable stock. So in all my looking around I found the best deal at the time was the R-15. the fully floated barrel is a bonus. I should of jumped at the chance when they first came out but I think $1300 for this one was not that bad of a price

Camo finish is not super durable as you can see from some of the photos but I do plan on refinishing it and have not been gentle with it. Now up around 200rds fired

I may look at a r-25 in 7-08 with the full lenght gas system and fixed stock as a future purchace.

RESTRICTED.................What a waste !

RESTRICTED = USELESS
 
Not a waste...these rifles have service rifle written all over them, couple them with a low power "affordable optic", (God knows we don't need 2k worth of scope) and work on your musketry skills instead of your gravel pit pose down...just sayin'
 
I hope that folks keep buying them as they strengthen our argument about de-restricting the AR. In the U.S. many people do normally use them for hunting. This goes against the Liberals argument.
 
I bought one back in may, I put the first layer of duracoat on today, tactical black, looks great. Any questions about refinishing or disassembly, lemme know. I'll post pictures when it's done.

The Liberals have stated clearly that they have every intention of banning military style firearms when they regain power.

Military style could be construed to mean anything.

I haven't got $1300 to spend on a gun that will be confiscated without compensation within a couple of years.

I'm totally amazed at GUNNUTZ who have their heads buried so deep in the sand that they'll spend a gazillion dollars on these gun safe wallflowers without batting an eye & yet won't spend $45 to join the CSSA.:mad:

The CSSA does not list any of the disciplines I shoot in as a shooting sport. As such why would I think the CSSA is concerned with my rights. That is why I have no interest in cutting them a cheque.
 
It would be nice if one could put a detachable front sight on it (i.e. a railed gas block) without too much trouble. They should make them that way from the factory and spare us the trouble.

CSSA doesn't care about our rights. As someone who is in competitions with all types of firearms, someone please explain to me who a political group with no connections or power is going to help me.

I will buy $45 more ammo than cutting CSSA a check for something they have no political might to do anything about.

Useless as a union.

Speaking for yourself only. Mine is NOT going to get confiscated WITH or without compensation, Canada is a big country. Got fooled once under C-68 like many thousands of people, they are not getting me (or us) again. Don't care, that's it, enough is enough.

This time will be different. The Firearm community will have to fight a little harder. And to the people who posted that it is pointless to buy a restricted because the government will confiscate them you are just adding to the problem. You are not helping matters any. The more people who have restricted the better. It seem to me you have already accepted the government taking guns and are not going to support the cause. Look at England. First they will take away all pistols and semi-auto and after that the only thing left for them to take will be your hunting rifles that in the eyes of an anti are "long range sniper rifles".
