Smith enterprise 5.56mm nato muzzle brake, p/n 1002

The Triple Tap is an excellent brake, great for fast followups (hence the name). I ran one on a 11.5" KAC for a week long LE course a couple months ago, loved it. For those who can afford it...it's awesome.
 
I've got one of these ATR muzzle brakes on my M14 Shorty.......works very nice!!! :)

Strangley the PWS does work better than expected I have tried it on a F/A M-4, F/A HK 416 ,Semi Auto M-4 and a sub-call 22RF kit .The intersting thing is there is no difference between in recoil , muzzle lift only the noise DB level difference when firing the 5.56 compared to the 22RF in the M-4

Peter, the front end is partially closed - and the vents redirect muzzle gasses due to the internal contours in a manner that reduces recoil aprox 43% (varies on load and barrel lengths).

It is also a sacrifical baffle for our NT-3 and NT-4 suppressors, extending their life 200+%
 
One Shot Tactical, who is a KAC Mil/LE distributor in Canada, is currently trying to see what Department of Defense Trade Controls will allow to be exported from us for civilian resale. We anticpate that shortly he will be able to stock our rails, sights, and potnetially some firearms for civilian sale. As well he has access to all of our Inline Night Vision Systems (PVS-26, PVS-29, Thermals, and FIST [Fused Image Sniper Technology]), Suppressors, and weapon systems for LE and Mil entities.

So that grid pattern incorporates some slots that go through into the interior? But not all of the grid goes through to the interior? Kind of surprises me that gas at high pressure will flow through such small openings. In silencer design there is a minimum hole diameter that is effective. Go too small and the gas just piles up, unable to flow through the hole. Like a fire-hose trying to push water through a pin-hole.

Thats not a bad idea. However I'd be suspicious that a blast baffle so close to the muzzle (and such a small blast chamber) would hold plasma up against the barrel crown and cause erosion there. The erosion is gonna happen somewhere, either in the can or inside the brake and the end of the barrel is inside the brake. This has the potential to screw a good barrel and that can happen within a few hundred rounds under extreme circumstances.
 
We've gotten 11.5 Diemaco barrels to 18k+ with this brake on it, still shooting inside 2MOA.

I don't think I'd recommend it on a non chromed short barrel w/ suppressor combo though
