Are these rings any good?

You can buy rings that are off set for much less than the $200 plus you are going to be paying for these. These funds can go for a much better scope if you want it. But with the prices for everything going skyward and specialized for these newer weapons...perhaps nothing else would work for your application.

Yes, drilling and tapping constitutes bubbaing. Leave the poor milsurp rifle alone.

I already have a millet see tru scope on the firearm but wanted to make it look more less sporterised.Okay I'll keep it how it is but would not do this on a k98.

The base and rings are made for this gun.Might make the gun worth more

There are Weaver bases that are made for that action, too. The point is that the rifle would have to be permanently altered from its issue condition by drilling and tapping, which pretty much throws collectability out the window.

The Zrak rings were used on the M48 sniper rifles, They are a copy of the Mauser design. I have them on my hunting rifle and have had them one M48 rifle as well that were already tapped. These mounts / rings are very well made machined from solid steel, windage adjustable and detachable/return to zero.

If the rifle was an M48, then one might be recreating the Bosnian Sniper using the Zrak scope and mount system. The M48BO, well it might of been used, I would imagine using what ever was on hand.

On another note, I am sure one can find an already Drilled and tapped K98 of M48 out there.
