WTF Does it say on the side of that guys gun??? Don't you know that... blah, blah, blah, I put duct tape on my SA M1A because it's my first gun and it's the coolest, and my daddy said that Norc's are Chinese crap and Colts are... and I fly a helicopter and I'd have my ATC but yo know... you have to have excellent groupings and follow some laws and other #### I made up, and ahhhh....

..Holy crap I love this place sometimes.

It's not paint on my M1A.
Actually, Colt was the original M16, AR15, Sporter etc.... Every other company is a copy cat of the Colt. Even the C7 is a copy. Don't talk crap you don't know enough about.

They're all AR-15 type rifles, even if they are copies. That is commonly understood generic name for the design. M16 is the US military type classification for a select-fire AR-15. M16s have also been made by H&R, Hydramatic division of GM, and, more recently, FN. Are these not "real" M16s, just because they don't have a pony stamped on them?

Edit: The AR-15 was developed by Gene Stoner while he was working for Armalite, so I guess that makes the Colt just another copy.

Mauser rifles are another example of several manufacturers making essentially the same design. Once again, these are all commonly understood as Mauser rifles.

I think this person just got bad bugs bothering he or she and has no way to let it out and start #####ing on why we CGNers call the Norinco M14 a "M14".

Let's put it this way, if he has to question "US" why we call it M14 he doesn't belongs to here and I would care less what he or she command:bsFlag:

Man.. does anyone like peanut butter as much as I do... that #### is delicious...

Its like my favorite flavour, but I like the chunky stuff better then the smooth crap. And don't give me any of that "natural" crap that I have to stir every time I want to eat it. I don't have time for that ####.

I thought the norinco m14's were made from the origial US tools and dies that were sold to Taiwan and then somehow got into China? If this is true, then they are more original M-14's than the M1A's.

no there are ACTUAL taiwanese m14s as well- like i said, the original norincos are reverse engineered examples of us m14s- if memory serves its a springfield- the taiwanese m14 is a trw which is where all their machines were shipped- there is speculation that the reason the original norincos that were supposed to be supplied to the filipino rebels were supposed to be used in an insurrection- and that the "evidence" would show the rebels were US supplied- however, when the thing fell through, china was left with a shipment of unmarked m14 rifles- they then had to have a LEGITIMATE reason- so they stamped norinco stars on them, gave them serial numbers, removed the auto fire and the bayonet lug so they could be marketed as a HUNTING /recreational rifle- the reason grinding off the scope mount escapes me

Magnum Peanut should have some input on this....

I say nothing beats the chunky stuff in the red label container from Skippy... I could eat that crap all day everyday

so my jiff bias has no grounds then. maybe its from all the disapointment of wanting peanut butter and getting peanut spread

You play in the Airsoft league Wannabe. I've played the MAJOR LEAGUE.
Punks like you Matty, probably born in 1986, you should think before you speak. Save you from humiliation some day if you met someone like me......

I suppose you're also the Sergeant of a three-man Rapid Tactical Force at one of America's largest indoor shopping areas.:D

So tell us. If an actual US military issue M-14 doesn't have the selector, is it still an M-14 according to your standards? Or were all of the people who bought them and now have 12(3) ripped off?
