Trade Ex has Sig P 210s for $2200. It makes me cry because I can't afford it. They all seem to be 210-2s (Plastic grip, Army issues) and in very good to excellent condition. Trade Ex is an excellent dealer too. So, for those of you who can afford it, enjoy it.

Meanwhile, I will be in my basement subbing like a baby, if you need me!

If you really want it, see if they have a lay away plan. I hummed a hawed over a P210-5 with two slides and barrel for $ 2500 two years back. Should of could of etc:(

Well....I did it! Its on its way.

I figured you only live once and my Visa Card agreed!:p

Enough of pilling up cheapo's. Now I want fewer but better.

Does anyone have experience shooting both the 210 and the 226 X5 tactical? They seem to be about the same price up here. I realize that the 210 is a "legend" etc. but from a accuracy standpoint I wonder how the X5 would stand up.

ok please tell me what is so special about a two 10

educate me :D

One of the most accurate production handguns ever made. High quality everything. Lasts forever (built to be run on subgun ammo after the 60's I believe). Very high tolerances, perfect slide/frame fit and barrel alignment.

It was so expensive to make that prodcution had to be ceased. Even when they switched over to CNC and bar stock steel frames, (83'-84') it was still too expensive to make, and new ones were selling for around $3000-4000 when they were last made.

Not really for action shooting tough. 8 rounds/mag and a heel mag release hamper it's effectiveness for those kinds of things.

Well this is why I hate this forum. I went into my local shop today to pick up ammo and asked if he had his current Sig price list. He say's " Oh I have something special in the safe". He then pulls out a 210-6 that he got as part of an estate. Well of course it was perfect with only a minor scratch from moving the safety and one mag still in plastic. The test target was stamped 2004 and had five rounds fired from 50 meters all in a whole a little bigger than a twonie. I got it for $1800.00 so I think I did pretty well but it was you guys that put the idea in my head. Thanks.

Very good deal!!! You made out very well. That P210 would have been bought for $3000+ when new.

It didn't happen if there's no pics :D

You asked.

No Pic's yet as I still have to wait for the transfer to go through. It has the "heel" release which was really stiff and the light coloured wood grips. My dealer, (in every sense of the word) sold the pistol to the last owner and said that the customer paid $3100.00 for it. It appears to have been shot very little and the dealer said it had been bought by an elderly gentleman. Sounds like the old "only driven to church by a little old lady" car story but it appears to be true. I wasn't really planning on buying another pistol so soon but when I saw the condition I couldn't pass it up.
