.22 Browning or Ruger?

i tried bothm and the 22/45 and ended up with a beretta - a neos- although the target model ws tempting- found the browning "heavy" and the ruger was WAY overpriced

I paid ~ $300 each for my two Rugers. Thought the dollars paid out vs "bang for the buck" was pretty reasonable, considering.....;)

the ruger was 629 at wsl brand new- just a month ago- for some reason all their guns went up by 100 or more- i wanted stainless,etc-
 
the neos was 502 all up , in stainless and felt "right" if you know what i mean- my other 22s are an m93 nroinco( i have one that actually works the way it's supposed to) and a beretta 948- so i was looking for a "target" with adjustable sights- and i'm enamoured with the darned thing-
 
i have a buck mark bullseye and a mark 111 hunter and would recommend both. each one is a different experience to shoot. the ruger is easy to strip down but not so easy to reassemble. both can shoot low price ammo with no problems.
 
The comparison between the two could go on and probably will go on forever. They are both really good guns.

I have a Buckmark URX standard which I paid under $300 for brand new, and I think I overpaid.

I love this gun! It's consistently accurate, it has maybe a 1% jam rate depending on the ammo., and it's just a lot of fun.

Personally I don't like the way the Ruger fits my hand but that's a personal thing.
 
Get the Ruger 22/45 "short hunter"

4.5" barrel, stainless, adjustable fiber optic sights. If you run into any troubles with disassembly I'd help you out. It really is no problem. Once you "get it" one will have no problems. It's simple.
 
I have had several .22 semi, the Ruger 2245 indeed perform better than of those Walther or S&W. haven't try a Buckmark yet but they are well know guns with tons of friend.

I just tried to disassemble/reassemble my Ruger Mark III. Very painful. Suggest you watch the youtube videos about the Mark III. I am having second thoughts.
 
I have a ruger mk 11 and love it. There are plenty of after market parts out for them (search volquartson and rimfiresports.com). They feed just about any ammo and are drop dead accurate. that being said i have little experiance with the buckmark but have heard alot of good. One of the ladies at our club just bought a buckmark and I hope she'll let me try it out soon. The ruger take down thing is a little bit of a pain but once you do it a few times it becomes pretty easy -also you don't need to take it apart every time you shoot it. i like to keep my fire arms very clean and still only pull the mk 11 apart every 400-600 rounds. If you get a ruger mkii or iii i would reccomend the volquartson sear kit. $28 american to my door and the trigger pull in now as good as my buddies hammerli

It happened I shot a browning buckmark, stainless bull barrel on Wendesday, and it's terrible!! The trigger travel is long and heavy and you don't even know when it breaks the shot. Although it's quite accurate, but Ruger Mark II or III will win. Consider all the after market parts, I spent $25 last year, buying the target sear and bring my Ruger Mark II to a trigger pull of less than 3 lbs. Crisp and clean. Buy the Ruger!!
