Just found this forum tonight, looks like a pretty nice layout. I am on a few others pretty frequently and I hope this one becomes the same.\

About myself - I am an avid hunter and am just starting into the competative target shooting. Been bitten by the longrange bug, so I set up a spot to shoot out to 1500, but at the moment I have been working on 1000yards mainly. I have yet to meet a rifle I didn't love, and regret selling the one rifle I have sold...sometimes it a short affair sometimes a long one - but they all have been good...

cs1973 - I used to work for Tembec in the 'flats (well till last dec). Maybe we have travelled some of the same territory!
 
Welcome aboard, brother. The wife and I shoot at the Cranbrook range on a regular basis during the summer months. Maybe we'll see you there someday!!!

There is a pretty good chance you will!! I have a range I built about 15 years ago out near galloway that I shoot at all the time as well. Not as nice but the bench is made of untreated ties, it does the job pretty good as well.

If you see a maroon dodge 4x4 good chance it's me, there are only a couple in town.

I heard there is some guys in the pass that starting a long range shooting club. I don't come on this site that often maybe post a question some one might be able to put you on to these guys
