Looks can be deceiving.
SIR/Cabelas must have stamped that V on the receiver.
That V stamp looks new.

thanks nort , it was interesting to see a non-spring bolt also works in a 1950 .

you can tell the SN on the side the mag was not stamped at the same time as the SN was stamped on the receiver, the fonts are different , especially the 3 and 1 .
 
If all of the new ones coming into the country are Franken Pinned, The non Franken Pinned ones from the last shipment will be the only true collectors on the market.

Hold on to the ones that have not been mutilated.
 
Well I finally got my SKS from SIR and was not really impressed action and bolt shroud are the only matches everything else is force matched so I cleaned it up grabbed a few boxes of silver tiger and off I went to the range the trigger was heavy but it broke clean and I was happy when the first shot hit the target then the next hit right beside it and the third on top of the first three shots were in a triangle around an inch then the group opened up to around an inch and three quarters well she looked allot sweeter now funny ?

Well my 1950 showed up . Mint all matching including the stock . 2 symbol 3 digit ser # . I'll try to get some pic's up in a day or so

Hey you. I had a feeling that was u outside the window. That's why I released my friendly dogs. Lol. That stupid week of yuck weather got me down. I am a heat lover this year. Hope to get some time at the range this soon. Need to try out the sight tool on my Izzy. Any tips on doing this???

OMFG!
Fired mine for the first time. Shot about 200 rounds through it last night in the boonies.

Soooo much fun. Just wish I could load all 10 in there.

Shoots pretty good at 50 and closer. Havent tried it at 100 and up yet. Next time.
