Combat Shotgun Challenge.
Think IDPA match but with just a shotgun.
Targets will be a combo of IDPA, clays, and the 2x4 wood chop
Ammo will be slugs, and bird shot
Shots from 30m to 5m.
Round count from 10 to 35rds in one stage.
Stages will include running, buildings, and hallways doorways moving targets.

DATE SEPT 12TH 2009 NAPANEE GUN CLUB.
$35 MATCH FEE $30 IF PRE PAID.
MATCH FEE INC LUNCH, BURGER, DRINK ECT
Bottled water provided by S&J hardware
5-7 stages
100rds of bird shot, 12ga, 20ga # 6, 7, 8
25-35rds of slugs
Match ammo available (pre order only) from SFRC of Kingston.
IDPA style rules/points. Cover, reloads ECT (email me or see IDPA.com for more info.
Non black badge, ppc, idpa, cdp members welcome, but if the shooting is above you skill set you will be asked to slow down.
Go basic or full on TAC Gear.
Suggested kit
6 SHOT SIDE SADDLE, BUTT STOCK SHELL HOLDER, CALI COMP WORK Belt SPEED LOADER.
TAC VEST DUMP BAG FOR SHELLS. (ANYTHING YOU CAN STUFF SHELLS IN!!!!)
Match will be shot no matter the weather, range is nice and dry most of the time no mud.
We also have tents.
Start times 09.30 start and 13.00hrs.
Pre payment for match can be sent via mail, EMT, bank deposit.
NO MATCH FEE FOR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO S.O WE WILL NEED 4-6 PEOPLE (must know IDPA rules)
All shooters will patch and help score
We need 15 shooters per squad or it’s a no go, if anyone prepays I will refunds them.
I have 11 shotguns if anyone needs one to shoot the match then just ask.
This match will be very interesting but will be set up that just about anyone that’s a shooter will be able to come out and play, but we will be using the IDPA rules of cover and reload.
The idea behind this is to make it somewhat related to a tactical shooting, and show you that the tactical shotgun is something that every shooter can use.

If you cannot shoot please call or email to inform us, there are only spots for 30 shooters and I have 16 confirmed already.
So if you just don’t turn up then you may not be asked to come back.

just putting the ground works togeather right now.
Would be eather Napanee or kingston.
The good thing about it being a shotgun event it just about anyone can come.
Storm ill keep them dates in mind, may even be the 1st week in oct but more likely to see rain if we wait that long.

All shotgun events can be great... I mean when do we really get an opportunity to work out with da guages...?

'Went o an 8-stage all shotgun match last year in MI... It was awsome.

Somthing like this
mags tubes any size as long as long as its within the law
1 class of points for semi
1 class for pump ,lever, bolt .
1 class for optics.
Reloads must be done from cover.

Ammo must be full power, only low power ammo that can be used is factory.
No home made low power ammo. standard reloads are fine.

Slings are fine as long as your skill set can match your shooting.

Be ready for just about every kind of start point.
I.E one stage i have will be load one shoot one, another you will have to shoot 6rds then carry a 50cal ammo can with 20lbs of sand in it to another cover point then shoot andother 6rds( no time to reload) :) x3

For those that are coming to the Napanee 3 gun match look for me and ill have more info then.
Any of you 3 gunners want to send me some drawings of stages you would like to see , feel free to do so.

As we are not going to be doing 2 or 3 guning, a sling is not the thing you may use the most, but having said that if you drop your gun for any reason you will get a DQ, so i myself will be using a single point or Vickers.
