.410 Ammo

They have some at my local gunshop. Don't think they carry it often if at all at stores like Canadian Tire or Wal-Mart. Wouldn't want to shoot at an animal with .410 buckshot @.@ Especially a deer or larger bodied game, MUCH more chance of wounding than with 20-12ga Buckshot. You only get at MOST 5 pellets @.@ now if you're going to be using it in the new Taurus Judge Magnum (I think that's what it's called) then by all means give'r. Check with your local gunshops, they're most likely to have it is my vote ^.^b Forgot about the slugs >< I've mostly only seen 2.5" slugs, 3"rs would be quite fun :D

Wouldn't a .45 Colt be a .410 Slug?
Wouldn't a .454 Casull be a longer .45 Colt?
Wouldn't a .460 S&W Magnum be an even longer .454 Casull?

BUT SERIOUSLY DON'T DO IT

The pressure developed by a .454 Casull is 65000PSI!!! Don`t try it.
The pressure for a .45 Colt is only 14000PSI which is closest to a .410 and some firearms are chambered for both but don`t use a choke if yours can shoot .45 Colts.
Only try this if the manufacture says you can.
11800 - 13500 PSI is what Hodgdon's reloading website indicates for reloading the .410 3" shells.

I picked up a couple hundred .410 buck and slugs at an auction. Love the buck for rabbit, much easier to pick out of meat than lead sand...

Thanks Guy's
The reason I'm looking is I have on order a Bond Arms Snake Slayer and there is not a lot of choice's where to buy in this small town and outlying areas.
Maybe I could try looking towards Vancouver it would just mean a day trip, any suggestions down that way?
Thanks!

I've definitely seen .410 buckshot. And slugs. And shot both. I've seen the buckshot at SIR (now Cabelas) but that was a while ago. Slugs are pretty common.
