Hi All
Looking for some input. Not a big fan of the factory pistol case and looking for something a bit more robust and slightly bigger.
The factory case isn't deep enough to allow for trigger lock and can only incorporate a single mag with the pistol cable locked.
My Criteria are:
-Padlockable (ie predrilled holes in case rim or hasp attached)
-Exterior Size- should be similar to existing case 10.5"x9.5" but can be deeper 4-5"
-Interior Size- I'd like it to contain the pistol and 4-6 mags
I see MEC has the Pelican 1200 on for 55$; this is the quality/price range I'm looking for but am not sure it will fit what I want it too.
Any input is appreciated.
TIA
Ed

Pelican 1400 case. I think the 1200 would be a little small. I have the 1400 and my G17 fits in their perfect along with the 6 mags. A place called Henry's sells them, its a photography store. I know there is one in Ottawa.

i have a 14xx, and can fit 2 pistols into it... some extra room for adding a future friend for your G17...

also consider the STORM or starlight cases

A combo locking Samsonite briefcase w/eggshell foam. Will hold up to 3-4 handguns comfortably w/no magaines or 2 handguns and 6-8 magazines. You can find them at garage sales pretty cheap...

I bought my handgun case at Canadian Tire. Really nice, fits 2 handguns, and was only $20. It was right beside the rifle cases, same style... black, clamshell style, with a pillar in the middle that locks the two halves together for stability.

Be sure and let them know it is for holding a pistol when you buy it. They were the banner sponsor of the trade in your guns for cameras last year. I'm sure they'll be delighted to be supporting legal firearm owners.

haha yeah I know thats funny, my wife works there. I was able to order a case for my AR there as well. I tried to get some bushnell scopes and that was a no go.
