Info on 2009 IPSC Nationals

i wanted to thank the people that came and helped us out on our range. Carmine on Friday especially while i was away dealing with the police over the break in. pretty classy for a guy that got DQed without firing a shot i thought. on Saturday Ann G, Neil G, Phil C and his Phil's SO Lisa (i hope i got her name right.) Words cannot express the appreciation we have for them! thank you.

Don was 2nd in Open Brad was 3rd I believe.
Congrats to Mike and J.P. for their wins. It's nice to see good guys like those two win. J.P. is the epitome of hard work and training to win. the level of impovement he's shown in the last 6 months is outstanding and hard to comprehend. if he continues along at this rate he'll be going for a World win in 2011.

Thanks Slavex,
But in order for that to happen, you guys are gonna have to stop trying to break my legs!:D

Thanks to Sean, Jim, Cliff and all those who helped to put on an awesome match! It was my first national and I must say that I was really impressed with the quality of the stages. I'm already looking forward into next year's national. Congtrats to all the winners and all those who had fun shooting the match because if you did have fun, then you are a winner too:rockOn:

See you all next year I hope:wave:

Hi Folks,

I Haven't got the results in electronic format from Cliff yet.
(Heck, I haven't had a chance to peruse this thread yet)
As soon as I do, I will get them to Mark and he will post them on the IPSC Canada website.

Thanks.
Sean.

Thanks to the staff, workers and competitors for welcoming us as sponsors to our first Canadian National Championships. Since we entered into this business less than a year ago, we have attended many smaller matches for the first time as well, and in every case we have been deeply impressed by the sense of family and teamwork that permeates the sport of Practical Shooting. You are a unique group indeed!

Kudos to all of the match staff and organizers for putting in the hard work and dedication that was necessary to mount an event of this magnitude, and congratulations to all of the competitors and to the winners. We hope to see you all again soon!

Just got back home after NB and NS matches. It was a fantastic time, thanks to the organizers, ROs and vendors and everyone else who made it happen.

What a great time/trip.
My son and I made it home this morning at 2 am after a non stop 20 hour 3 minute 1993km trip.

What time did you guys left? We left around 5:30am, got stuck in traffic at Montreal, then saw mrclean on 401 about 4 hours before Toronto and got home 0:30am

18 hours, but I stopped for the night after euxx and crw went by.
The match was definitely a challenge and thanks to the organizers and all the other officials.
Who wants the jungle next time?

I dropped Lonedrone off at the airport at 6:40 then picked up Diablo and we left the hotel at exactly 7am
Arrived home at 2 am local time which is 3 am Atlantic.

We got bogged down in traffic near Quebec City and Montreal.

I never saw anyone else on the road.....

We left Halifax at about 9:30 AM
Shane and Tim passed us about 2 hours east of Montreal
Traffic wasn't too bad
Had something to eat somewhere east of Drummondville
Got home about 11:30 pm local time

Taking today off would have been sweet! Spent most of the day balancing financials (forcasts, cash flow, foreign currency hedges)

Anyone else having Lobster for supper tonight?

Diablo and I picked up 8 (1 1/2) lbers and 3 lbs of scallops in Shediac on the way home.

Going to be a feast!

hey guys, sorry about the delay, I was also moving out of my apartment last week and have not had time to get internet re established in my house. anyway results were emailed to sean tonite and he will forward them to the proper places. internet cafes are just a little harder to find in the countryside. :) and why so long to drive back guys. I've made 3 roundtrips since may and it is only about 16 hours halifax to Toronto. Glad to see everyone I managed to see who came down.

Well I'd also like to throw in congratulations and thanks to everyone involved with putting on the Nationals this year. Things ran smoothly, and the extra tents set up on Thursday afternoon were much appreciated.

I'd also like to send out a big thanks to the Newfoundland shooters who made this single Standard shooter from Manitoba feel so welcome. You guys were great to shoot with. Looking forward to shooting next years Nationals with you.

Can't wait to see what Steve can do when he can use both arms and hands,
