Recommendation for a good Ruger 10/22 scope

bushnell banner 4-12x AO (adjustable objective) is excellent for gophers out to 100 yds.
price about $120-130.
If you don't shoot gophers very much, than a 3-9x is likely enough.
I wouldn't go over 4-12x on a .22.
If you want to pay more than that, there's the Bushnell trophy series 4-12xAO.

:agree:

Stay away from the Tasco with AO and target knobs. I have had two cr@p out and my shooting buddy had another do the same. Go with the Bushnell.

I have a Bushnell Trophy 4-12x40 AO on my heavy barreled 10/22 and I'm satisfied with it for the price I paid. It's no Leupold, but it's a good, serviceable Japanese made scope.

The cost is a little more than $180 (P&D lists them for $210 on their website), but you rarely regret spending too much for optics.

I have a Bushnell Banner 4-12x with AO, bought it used off CGN for an excellent price and she it good.

If you are doing close range hunting stay fixed low power scope. For target shooting get something that has AO unless you like blurry images.

sweet 22 scope

If you haven't pick up your new scope yet, I use a BSA Sweet 22. 3-9x40 with an adjustable OA lens. It is awesome. Give it a try for about $130.00

I just put this bushnell banner AO 6x24 (40mm) on my new Savage 22WMR. I like it alot. No problems and it is much better glass then the 6x24 tasco I use on my 17HMR.

I saw a 5x15 trophy series I liked but it was like 225-235 and the 6x18 banner series was more then enough power but was 50mm which I thought was just silly (huge). So for the same price of the 6x18, I got the 6x24. (169.00) I'm happy with it. With that said I had a 3x9 on my 10/22 and marlin something too big would or could look silly on a 10/22 but you can't go wrong with a banner I think.
