To an extent it would be nice to have a knock off but it just takes to much away from the original vetren. There is just something about an original, something that can't be copied...

It would make for an inexpensive Garand. Many manufacturers have built Garands: Springfield, Winchester, International Harvester, Beretta, Breda, and so forth, so it would be a case of one more manufacturer added to the list. However, one of the most important things that make up the value of an individual Garand is its antiquity and history.

Personally, I wouldn't buy one.
