I find the trigger pull on my 858 is a tad heavy and I was wondering what could be done to improve it...

Does anyone know if the sear is fully hardened? I was thinking of putting a slight taper and then polishing it off but i'm worried that I might file off the hardened surface...

Any advice is more than welcome!

There is a spring that wraps around the trigger pin, you can remove the spring and that will lighten it up considerably. I've been running mine like that for many many many rounds with neigh an issue.

I'd like to give it a try but I can't figure out a way to remove the trigger pin, there is a T shaped piece of metal that is lodged half way in the pin and it seems to be riveted into the receiver. Could you tell me how to remove the pin?

Edit: ok nvm, figured it out. Removing that spring made a noticeable difference, thanks for the advice.

I will try to get some time to take pictures of what I mean after the weekend.

I know whatcha mean but it might be a good idea to post one for anyone else wishing to lighten the pull. I haven't fired the rifle yet but the whole trigger unit resets as it should, without that extra spring.
