From an unreliable source: ~400 USD MSRP, January 2010.

It is supposedly made out of steel, shares many parts with standard 1911's and weighs the same.

The RCMP will probably determine it's an MP5 variant and say it's prohibited.

After all, it's got about as much in common with a real MP5 as a GSG-5 does.

Dedicated .22lr 1911 will have a place as long as it's affordable.

Just like the Colt Ace they'll have to come up with a .45ACP conversion unit, too..... ;)

Stevo, what are you doing saying that out loud on a public forum? We have enough problems with the RCMP making it up as we go, they don't need any help on ideas.

But it is a fair point. :D

LOL, it was a very tongue-in-cheek comment. I don't really think even the RCMP could twist the Firearms Act that far.

I know it was, just giving you a hard time.

After some of the antics they have pulled, I don't think they could twist it that far, but there are individuals in the system who might try.

After my experience with the SIG Mosquito, I think I will be waiting for the reviews, about 3 years worth. That is quite the nasty mold line on the front of the frame... you think they would have trimmed it for the photo-op.

this looks like a "clone of 22LR dream" and for sure has a alu-llight slide ...not my style anyway !
personally I prefer a heavy 1911 in 45ACP and buy only pistols what are initially made for this 22 round...
ie: S&W 41, Rug MKIII, Browning
