Looking for 50BMG shooters local to Alliston,Shelburne,Orangeville area??

I'm just about going to enter the 50BMG world!!

Yes just was shooting this past week, at 1200 m....

Once you go 50 you will realize there is just nothing that lives up to the shock and awe of BMG.

Been having a blast with mine.

This may sound a little stupid but what is the average cost to shoot 1 shot out of a 50bmg? and what about recoil? i know they have HUGE MB on them but what would they be equivalent to?

I see target brass for $15 a piece and $10 a piece for match grade Laupa bullets. Plus 250gr of powder  Match grade Primer...

My calculation would be approximatly $25-$30 a shot for match grade?!?!

This can't be the average cost per shot is it?

Its not that bad, bud

A-max bullets are $75 per 20, but you can buy FMFs, which produce amazing accuracy as well for 1.50 to $2.00.. IVI good quality brass can be had for 1.50-2.00 and can be used many times

Powders if bought buy the 8- 12 lbs is not bad but 7000 gr in a lb 4x7= 21 loads ber Lb. Primers are .45 to .50 per

you can not count brass $ but I can load FMJs @3.50 per round not couning brass and match ammo @ 8.50-10 per round

from what ive found available only single shot bolt actions are allowed in canada, are magazine fed 50bmg rifles not allowed? semi auto must be illegal too.

WRONG!!!
The most common are single shots, mostly due to the cost, but bolt action repeaters are available and legally classed as non restricted.
There are also a few semi autos that fit into the non restricted classification as well, the biggest problem with them is price and availability.

Ottawa placed several repeaters and semi autos on the prohib list by make and model several years ago, but as long as you do not try for those few specific rifles, you are ok.
IF the US would allow the export of anything 50 cal, the new Barrett semi auto would be non restricted, unless Ottawa saw fit to pass another OIC.

The Nemesis bolt action 50 caliber bolt action repeating rifles we sell are non restricted, as are the single shot rifles we manufacture.
