I have a Norc HP-9 (Rem 870 clone), and lately I've been noticing that when I pump it, it likes to stick in the rear position. Usually all it takes is a good hard jolt to move the pump and bolt forward, but it's quite annoying. I keep the gun quite clean, usually I clean it after every shooting session.

Is there something I can do to fix this problem?

I ended up completely stripping the shotgun, and found that the inside tube of the forearm - where it connects to the rails that the bolt rests on - is cracked. Not happy.

Here's some pictures of the broken action tube.

That was enough to make a piece of the rail rub against the receiver, making it quite hard to pump.

New one or try to have someone weld it. A good clean brass welding should be enough. For sure, don't do it yourself but a gunsmith or someone with good welding skills should help you.

Don't bother dicking with it. Just buy a replacement.

There is no rust on the action tube - those are weld marks on the last picture, and the others are rub marks.

I know it's a cheap gun, but it's still under warranty, so the gun shop is replacing it for me. Hopefully it'll last a little longer.
