where would I find one of these kits for sale in Canada? Preferably a place that also sells spare mags for the kit? 223 price is retarded and my baby doesn't deserve to become a safe queen.:)

Questar CMMG 22lr kit comes with a std blackdog mag which is black (opaque). I ordered some smoked mags at the same time....

I much prefer the semi transparent smoked mags to quickly verify approximate rounds in the mag.

Awesome kit. Super value for the money. My one is not picky on ammo.

It's accurate enough that I can use it to sight in my holosight to 100m on short barreled AR using .22LR and then switch over to .223 with maybe just a click or two. Definitely on the paper.

I use it on a 1:7 AND 1:9 barrel with no issues.

These are fantastic kits. Mine eats anything I've put through it.

On a side note mine shoots low and right through my 14.5" barrel. Two other guys are shooting them through an 11.5" and a 16" and they're just a bit low. I thought it was my rifle until one of the guys bought a 14.%" and his shoots low/right as well.

Anybody else have this experience?

With Federal AE bulk pack 22LR ammo, mine shoots to the left and so I have to adjust the rear peep sight to the right. With CCI Standard Velocity, it shoots centre.

:eek:Does that mean that mad dog mags won't work in the new kits?

No... it means that CMMG is making their own mag now instead of buying them from BDM... both magazines work... the CMMG kit hasn't changed and still uses the same magazine type/style/design.

Anyone know where to get a .22 LR barrel blank big enough to fit an AR receiver and about 20" long? I want to make a dedicated upper for my Colt kit.

Has anyone tried the black dog mags with the colt conversion? I would like something bigger than the ten round mag that comes with the colt kit, but don't want to waste $40 on something that won't work.

The Black Dog Machine website clearly states that their Magazines do NOT work with the DPMS or COLT 22 kits. They don't offer any magazine for those kits.

Have any of you had any Fail to Feed with the your conversion ?

I read one review that mentioned only the hyper velocity .22LR ran good, with some regular .22lr's having 2-3 ftf out of each mag. Any truth ?

Thanks
Sabre~!
