So they have the Bushnell Holosight as a web special for $245. I call around and they are in stock in Markham and Ottawa. Despite my pleading neither store will ship to me because Montreal is the only locale that handles mail order. So I call Montreal and get some b*tch with attitude tell me that I can't have it because it is not in stock in Montreal and those "other stores" don't deal in mail order (rumor has it they are dropping the Holosight because of availability issues from Eotech). I tell the lady they are in stock at the other stores and she says "That's too bad but I am not getting it from the other stores for you".

This is un-freakin' believable! I told her that it's piss-poor service and she says "That's how it is".

I called the other stores back and told them Montreal pretty much told me to f*ck-off and still they would not ship it to me. I've never run in to a business that tried so hard not to make a sale.

Mississauga does not have it or I coud have gotten someone to get it for me..

Sorry about your bad experience but you are not the first to get bad service from them and I guaranty you you won't be the last.
 
You can try this,,,call the Markham store, tell them to ship the product to the Mississauga store, and then have your someone pick it up there and ship it to you.....

They have shipped items between stores for me in the past, the Mississauga store is closer to me than any of the others

It's worth a shot, but I would not mention where your from, just tell em your closer to the Mississauga store.....and would like to pick up from there.
 
Guess I see this a bit differently.. They have a set of practices they follow.. Only, Montreal does mail order, the other stores don't.. Montreal doesn't have it in stock so yeah you can't have it.. Unless one of the other stores is willing to ship it to Montreal... And then you get into cost.. Those things are going to sell out..

You arrange with however you were gonna get in Miss to Call Markham and see if they will transfer one.. Or maybe he needs to take the 40 minutes ride to Markham...
 
I told them cost was not an issue.... I worked in retail and the bottom line is to always please your customer and if that can't be immediately achieved then suggest a compromise. I offered to pay the additional shipping if there was any and yet they still said no. The attitude / tone of voice I got from the lady in mailorder was nothing short of pure ignorance.

Lebaron = sh*ttiest customer service in retail.... and that's the only equation that fits in this case.

I hate Lebaron. There catalogue his full of nice thing they don'T carry and they don't order, bcause they don't want our money. It's also imposible to return some thing that have buy whit a defect, they will only give you storce credit.... anny way that :bsFlag:
 
I have not had any problems so far. To date, I have ordered a few rifles and scopes and on most calls, I recall hearing the employees commenting on having to bring the item in from another store. I always got what I ordered, and usually quite quickly.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I understand your frustration as I continually experience customer service problems when I try to get an item from Western Gun Parts. Always a miserable attitude from the cow that answers the phone, no matter how much money I bring them.
 
Maybe if you ask, someone will buy it for you and ship it out to you......



I have had several offers to help and special thanks to ColinJW who even shopped around trying to locate one. It seems the stores are now out of stock so I am SOL.

Thanks all the same to all the CGN'ers who pm'ed and offered their assitance / advice. I certainly do appreciate it.

When I was looking for a left handed bolt action for hunting I called to see what they had in stock.When I asked if they had any I received a quick NO, when I asked if any other stores had one in stock she replied with another NO. Now usually this wouldnt bother me, only both these NO's came within about .1 seconds of me asking the question.

Oh and when I stopped by the store a year ago no one person spoke english, nor even tried. I also give them a thumbs down

I once placed an order for over $1k and didn't even get a "thank you" from the gum-chewing woman on the phone. A good friend called about a GPS once and had a woman screaming obscenities in french (we're both bilingual and fully understand what they're saying as they think we don't) to the troll in the next cubicle. Ah, the joys of Canadian specialty retail - "if you don' like the dis-service, you gonna get nuthin'!" Hard to believe suppliers keep these clowns in product.

I think is is in fact a secret government agency put in place by ancestors of The Great Rock Fairy to try and discourage hunters/shooters into submission then sell them Birkenstock sandals once they are under their control...

In the past, every time I went upstairs to the firearms section, they did a great job at making me feel like I was bothering them. I have literally stood there for 10 minutes with no one else there only to wait for the guy behind the counter to serve me.

I am not sure if things have changed in the last few years, but I am sure the same guys work the counter. I always see one of them at the gun show, and I still get pee'd when I see him.

I now purchase all my firearms from out West, service is better and so are the prices, even after shipping.
 
I have been to Sail in the West Island, and the guy in charge is nice, so is the other younger guys, but to be honest they do not have too much knowledge in what they sell. They do usually have quite a few firearms on hand though, so if you know what your looking for and have no questions on a particular firearm, it may be a place to buy from, depending on pricing.

It is completely believable. How else could you run a company that size that still doesn't use computerized inventory management.
 
I can't for the life of me understand why anyone bothers with LeBaron's anymore as there are so many other options out there.
