some may remember my last bubba conversion project where I spliced together and reworked a No4 sporter as a tanker

well I have another project simmering in my mind that involves a No1 that has been shortened allready and drilled and tapped.
thinking of another spliced stock project, and thanks to Lou I have a good selection of wood
to match up.
But I think I would like to try a wire butstock with the standard pistol grip, not I'm not certain how its going to work, going to need to shorten the stock bolt and recontour one of my many spare bubba stocks. The butt will need to be retractable, I'm thinking slider not folder, and some simple locking device. I will also need to fabricate some sort of nose cap, like the RIC or LEC.
So far I have picked out the wood, did some cutting and have started to glue the forestock together. Cleaned up the crown and silver soldered the front site on as well as move the rear sight back about 1 1/2"
Photos to follow shortly.
