Glock Carbine Adapter using an AR-15 stock

Dude BR has seen more action in one week then you will see in a life time.
He has a better understanding of what works and what does not.
If you like it because its cool , then buy it for that reason.

Well, if that's the case then I sincerely apologize for my assumptions. :(

Let me ask kindly.

Why is a stock on a Glock not a good idea as an inexpensive substitution for a sub-machine gun?

Hmmmmm... Interesting. I wonder if you could slap it on at a CQB match and go between your "carbine" and pistol? :)

Sort of neat, and it would make your pistol more accurate for just messing around. You'd sure get some questions at the range.

Now you just need to get a Glock with a 16" barrel and you're ready to roll.

Putting a stock on a pistol doesn't make is a submachine gun. It makes it a pistol with a stock.

It's a shame you don't hold more credibility, because I almost took your word for it.

I was just about to say the same thing about you.. unfortunately I doubt there will be someone to convince me otherwise.

Back on topic...

I was just wondering, what could you do to a glock to make it sh*ttier.... Question answered.

But my I think my daughter would like it... so I guess there's a market out there for youth shooters. It's cute and light and they're already used to the texture of plastic toys. I wonder if Nerf makes a grip kit to go with it?

The only thing more fun than not shooting a glock is hacking on them. You glock owners are a really defensive bunch. ;)

Seriously though.. I 2nd the motion for "f**kin Retarded..." You could use the argument that if you had a G18C and a 50rnd mag, it'd make it more reasonable... not. Get a SMG if you want a SMG.

I have to get back to work, I've got an old starter pistol I need to finish fitting into my new Troy chassis.

they make a claim less felt recoil.. I don't know how.. instead of just the gun now you'll have the gun w/ stock and your arms...

I have to remember to start a thread about a non essential accessory on a weekly basis. It sure brings the "operators" out of the woodwork LOL

I already thought of the next topic: "the CZ pistol bayonet" :stirthepot2: that should to be good

Until then

So...there's an elephant in the room, so let me ask the question : does anyone really think the injected molded hollow plastic handle on a glock was ever designed to have a stock probed up its rectum at a 90 degree angle from the weakest point?

maybe next weeks useless accessory will be a folding stock for the glock 27?

I apologized for my comments already. It was an impulsive act.

I just don't see how a High capacity glock with a stock is much different than a Sub-machine gun. Also, in no way did I say that this platform could be classified as such. I called it a substitute.

What even classifies an SMG?

Your right about a couple things. They are cute and they are light, but we have to admit for what it is, it is a great gun. Jack of all trades if you ask me.

Stocks that attach this way have been available for some time. One of my shooting buddies used one for a thousand or so rounds. No problem. http://www.fab-defense.com/en/category-butt-stocks/id-52/glock-tactical-stock.html

Exactly... putting a stock on a Glock is not new. The concept has been around for a while and at one time we sold a bunch of those MAKO/FAB-Defense stocks (until their pricing went through the roof).

It always amazes me how many people on Gunnutz seem to think only in terms of Canada and the civilian market... as if every gun manufacturer is designing products or marketing them to Gunnutz. It's simply not the case.

While a stock may have limited application for Canadian civilian shooters, it's a pretty interesting product for those markets (US and others) where full auto Glocks are commonplace for civilians... it's also a product that can be marketed to LE and private contractors doing protection details.

I think this newest offering (being discussed in this THREAD) is a bit overpriced for the market, but time will tell. They sent us a sample some weeks ago and we're still testing/evaluating it... but honestly I don't see it being much of a seller in Canada given the limited market for it here and the high price of the product. We told that to the manufacturer and our hope is that they will be able to bring their pricing down but unless he gets some volume sales I'm not sure he's in a position to do that.

The worst part is that it's just an adaptor not a complete stock unit... so on top of the cost of the adaptor you then have to add the cost of an AR stock, extension tube, etc..

I actually like Glocks. I don't own any yet but that will change in the future.

That being said, this product isn't something that I would ever buy. It looks ugly, there are better alternatives out there and with the cost it just doesn't make sense.

Cost of the Glock, plus ugly looking stock thing, and then the AR parts.

For $1100 you can get a Beretta Storm carbine. Which in Canada you can have converted to non-restricted.

Easy choice.

Wow... this has to be the most innovative thing I've ever seen!

Do you think they're willing to sell shares in their company? This is going to be HUGE!
