Probably the easiest bullet Ive tried outside of a match bullet to get to shoot great groups.

I wasn't able to find any for my .260 Rem, hopefuly they'll be more around next year. I'll have to stick with the TSX for this year.

:)Sweet shooting, with any caliber at that distance. I've recently picked up a selection of Barnes TTSX, in 30 cal for my '06 and 308 NM, in 7mm for my 7x61 S&H plus some Barnes originals for my 348 WCF. If I get loads worked up for comparable accuracy to what you've achieved or to what I've done using say Sierra, you'll have another convert;). Thanks again to you and BC Sportsman for your help and info over the last little while. As soon as I get back to B.C., let the testing games begin:D!

Are you hiding the 5th shot with the bullet box..:p

I have had great results with the TSX, and I plan to try the TTSX out of the new 7mmWSM once I start to develop a load.

Good shooting!

These Barnes are really good bullets. I load the 180gr TSX's for my .300 Wby at almost 3,300 fps, and they give me groups of a little over 3/4" at 100 mts. Very good for me, if you consider that just a little under 1/2" is the best I've been able to do with this rifle at that distance, but with much milder ammo.

Expensive bullets, but they've made me a very happy camper.

7mm RUM with 54gr H 4350?

:eek::eek:

Try .284....

That's why I asked:yingyang:, because I didn't know and where I presently am, the only hard copy of info I have available is the Hornady 7th edition. I did 'look at' the 284 but #1, there wasn't a load listing using H4350/140gr bullet combo & #2 from the picture in the post, the rim and neck didn't look like that of the 284, to me that is. Another possibility I considered, with the pictured non-belted case configuration was the 280 Remington/7mm Express Remington. A somewhat close load of 52.7grs of H4350 is listed but the shouldered section of that case looks different, to me. There are a few upper end 'items' in the 7mm family above with a similar case configuration that the case proporations could fit that of the picture. Possibly by slight error, perhaps the wrong load had been listed, I don't know, so again, that's why I asked!

.284 Winchester. and it looks like a goodun!...:)

Definately a group to be proud of. Thanks for the info/verification. I'll have to show that load and results:) to a friend back home who has one in a model 88 Winchester.

I picked up some Barnes TTSX in 120gr 140gr and 150gr for testing and load development in my 7x61 S&H. If I can get anywhere near that for a group I'll be ecstatic!!

hey anyone shoot 243 85 grain barnes bullets , i'm having trouble finding a load for these anyone have suggestions? thanks

a buddy shoots the 80gr TTSX in his 243 with IMR 4007ssc. 43.5 grs I think, 3250 fps and accurate. 44.5 is 3325 fps and about the same group.
