So I'm doing some prelim market research into whether or not we should take on a few parts for the Sig series rifles. So if you think you would buy said parts please respond and let us know.

Here's what I initially have in mind:

-Single point sling adapter. Estimated retail $50
-M4 stock adapter. Estimated retail $100
-Aluminum quad railed handguard (maybe FF) Estimated retail $450
-Picatinny scope mount specifically designed to work with above Estimated retail $170.

Note the pricing is ball park it could go either way. Feel free to throw down some ideas in the thread as well. The key is volume, I can't justify the time to develop these things unless enough can be sold to cover costs and make a couple bucks .

Thanks

Sean

I had thought a brass catcher might be good... I think B+T make one?

Anyways - here is some other European producer's picture of one...

I am worried it might be a bit big though and if I should just forget about this sort of thing. I guess its designed to be taken off, but with a 5 round mag that could be a bit nutty to be taking off constantly unless I am missing something

Anyone else have ideas?

I like the rest of your ideas and have interest in them. I have a Classic Green and will get a CQB at some point before end of year. And a .308 when they come out.

I realize that I'm probably in the minority here, but this is one of those firearms where I don't feel the need to change anything on it. If I needed a ton of upgrades and stuff to make it decent, I'd buy an HK. :p

-Single point sling adapter. Estimated retail $50

My PE90 has a sling point at the rear sight, works great as single point mount. ..There's 3 points on the SG, front sight, rear sight and rear stock. However a stock hinge located adaptor that accepted QD mounts may be a keeper.

I'd hate to give up the side folding option, but you're not going to get a AR stock to lock in place because it's the butt that locks to the receiver, not the hinge. However everyone loves putting AR collapsable stocks on everything. The SG stock is one of the few stocks I've had that I don't wish to replace however. I'd suggest encorporating a 1-point sling mount to the adaptor for the people that like both.

Again, the only rifle I haven't wanted to tap rails to every surface. But there's a market I'm sure.

My biggest #1 desire for these rifles, is the ability to use AR mags. If it was possible to design a AR mag adaptor I'd be in heaven. I don't think there's room for that pipe dream however. I'd settle for a CDN made SG 556 lower. ;)

It already comes with one - ring hook
-M4 stock adapter. Estimated retail $100
I own one, not sure who made it. TSE sells them
-Aluminum quad railed handguard (maybe FF) Estimated retail $450 It would have to be as good or better then B&T's. Being cheaper and cheap won't due when dealing with SA's:)
-Picatinny scope mount specifically designed to work with above Estimated retail $170.Out of all the things you listed the only one I'm interested in is a scope rail that lines up with the B&T hand guard rails. If you could do this then I would be VERY interested.

I won't replace the stock, I like it...

The quad railed handguard could be good though.
A brass catcher as I mentioned in a previous post in this thread
Inexpensive cheek rests would get a market I think... $299 for the Swiss ones is a bit much for some nice plastic.
