Which progressive reloader for 38 special ?

I have a 650 (with case feeder) for my .41mag, .44mag, .45LC all mounted on tool heads.
Great machine, easy to change calibers never had a problem....

My 1050 (with case feeder) is reserved for doing .45acp, I load and shoot a lot of this in my pistols and FAs....
If you plan on changing calibers and loading large volume, on the 1050 buy complete toll heads otherwise it will drive you to drink....

Better yet buy smaller machines for smaller volume requirements....

As for customer support, Dillon is absolutely #1

Wow... My first loads on my Lee 1000 were .38 Specials. 158gr LSWC over Universal. Cranked out nearly 1K in an afternoon. Handprimed, then on the press (Decapping pin removed BTW).

I have a lee 1000 and do not recomend it .i have had it for quite a few years every couple of years i would try to get to work properly but the primer feed is junk the powder feed is unreliable don't waste your money I finally chucked it under my bench a thats where its staying

My Dillon 550 has been working great since I bought it in 1990, I think I probably got my money's worth out of it years ago. There are newer and probably better presses now but my 550 just won't quit and it has loaded a ton of ammo for me in the last 19 years.

A friend went with the Square Deal for his pistol reloading - I went with the 550, as I knew I'd be getting into rifle reloading as well.

If you don' t want it, I will take it. I have used Lee 1000 in a few different calibres and they have worked fine.

The key to the Lee primer feed is to keep it clean and add 150 primers and then every 100 so there is always 50 in it. It is the worst part of the press but okay when you learn a few of the tricks.

I've got two Hornady Lock N Loads. They are quite good and would recommend them.

Two you greedy buzzard, do you know how hard they are to get?

I'm in for LNL AP as well, I can however make a Lee 1000 work and still have one.
