Interesting...is there any rifling in the barrel to make the bullet accurate? or like you said the steel threads cut in to the bullet. How does the storage on the survivor work?

The barrel is rifled.
The storage compartment in the butt holds at best a couple of rounds of each and the choke and choke wrench. Could toss in afew other small items such as line and hook, etc. if needed.

I have two .410 cal. shotguns I really like.

The Mossberg model 500 is a great little pump gun and has almost negligible recoil for smaller individuals. I find it feeds smoother with the 2 1/2" shells.

The El Faisan SXS is sweet little gun, very light, and is just plain fun to shoot.
I found mine on CGN.

Just thought I'd share.:shotgun:

back at the kamloops gun show this spring I could have gotten a .410 sxs for $200 it was a folding backpacker model I forget of what make. Sweet gun. I'm kicking myself for not talking to the seller and trying to talk him down to something I was willing to pay for it. 20 or 21" barrels my BPS barrel weighs more then it did...Barrel folded down and touched the butt stock. I'd probably get a gun like that over the Survivor 410/45 if I could find it for the same price.

I picked up a TAMER in 20 guage for a grouse gun-bit more versatile than the .410[slugs for deer] and the shells are way cheaper

Go and buy yourself a 45/70 and take that out with .410 shells!!!

The .410 shells work well but I have had a few not clear the chamber in my Marlin 1895G... The Ruger #1 is another Story!

That has to be the most versitle combo there is!

First grouse I shot with my shotgun all I found of it was some feathers and a leg.....so I know what you mean by disintegrating a grouse with a shotgun. Now I just use my Ithaca .22LR for Grouse and I want another gun I can use.

I have but I'm using what I clear on the sale of a different gun to buy this gun. I still need new Hiking/Hunting boots so I can't afford to add extra money to the pot and I have 3 12 gauges in my gun cabinet so I need something smaller :D I've also been looking at one of them since I got my PAL I love Single shot guns. I can shoot 3 rounds in my single 12 gauge in the time it takes someone to shoot 3 rounds in a pump action granted I'm shooting my last round as they are ejecting their 3rd round but that's still Pretty Darn Fast for a single shot.

Give me some off what your smokin, it must be good. I would consider the speed of a pump shotgun "close" to a semi shotgun in the right hands

Do people not read everything??? PS I don't smoke bad for my health...same with yours.....and your right in the hands of the right person a pump is as fast as a semi I know with my bps I'm about half as fast as a semi when I'm just BLASTING away at a target not picking off targets like were were.
that is the short version of the story.
There is a story behind the 3 in a single to 3 in a pump.
You have to have the rounds in your hands and I'm pretty sure the guy I was shooting against was playing nice and not just pumping and blasting as we were blowing apart some clays we laid out on the range 25-40 yards out. I figure in a blast as many rounds as you can between a single and a pump I'd get the 2nd round in, action closed and maybe get the gun cocked by the time the 3rd round was being fired doubt I'd get the trigger pulled by the time it got ejected unless I just let the hammer SLIP as it's a 60 year old single shot :) I am fast for sure just I have no real full time shooting buddy to practice against.

I've never shot a 28, but it can't be all that different from a 20? ...and all the hassle of finding ammo for the 28! I dunno what the attraction is? Maybe it's a coversation piece at a club...or it makes you look lke you're different and somehow know more than the rest of the world? I suppose it's kind of like oddball rifle caliber users. OOOhhhh the mystique of it all!:p;)

MY GAWD??!!
Someone get this man some water, move away, give him room to breath!:D
Yup, the 20 with light loads will do it, but the 28 is sooo much nicer!!:)

I pack a M6 Scout 22 Hornet with 3" 410 slugs and some birdshot rounds in my Twelkwa Kayak as a survival tool, I also am not into dicking around making snares just go to Canadian Tire and buy a couple of big Rat traps then drill a hole in it to tie some paracord so the Rabits cant take off with them. They work great.
