Anyone that has bought a hornady product with " free bullets " If you have received them , did they come direcly from Hornady or thru a Canadian suplier with stock ? I have a lot of .300 Weatherby brass that vary in case neck thickness between 9 and 16 thou and was told that the only way to get any sort of warranty was thru a Canadian dealer to forward back to the factory . Other than that there is no way to solve componant warranty issues . If anyone has any info as far as sending or receiving componants it would be greatly apreciated . Blaser!!!

I have not recieved any of mine yet, I have called many times. They told me they would be shipped via "inland pacific"

Hornady has lost my vote for customer service. If they don't have any merchandice to ship they should slow down on the promotions.

There was a post about this a while ago and I think the guy made arrangements to import the bullets through Reloading International, he does the US export permits and shipping for you, at a cost of course. Bullets cannot be exported from the USA without a permit from the government so they have to go through somebody to get the permit.

I was thinking of buying the Hornady LnL AP through Cabela's because of the free bullets, but if it's going to take weeks and weeks, then it may not be worth it.

Tried that. Cabela's Canada was out of stock on them, and Cabela's USA won't ship that particular item to Canada. I was able to get it by ordering directly from Hornady's website. Or maybe I phoned them....can't remember. Either way..... No muss, no fuss.

Before I purchased my Hornady Lock n Load from Cabelas I posted a couple "swap ads" on American Gun Forums.

I found someone on there that was willing to pay $1 less/per box for the bullets. I still ended up getting around $150 USD which is quite a nice discount on the press...the other guy was happy to.

I ordered my LNL AP through Cabelas US and it came no problem and in a about 3 weeks from order date. Ironically enough they wouldn't send me shellplates.

As for the free bullets I'm still waiting. I sent that in back in April or May. I guess I should email them or better yet phone them.

If a company owed me something from April or May, they'd be getting 3 emails and 5 phone calls per day to every department that would pick up the phone. If I could get through to the CEO/owners, I'd be on the phone with them too. There's NO excuse for taking 3-4 months to ship something and anybody who thinks that's ok is a fool. NO EXCUSES for poor service like that.

I waited about 8 months..............

How can you possibly say that something you get for FREE.....is not worth it?

I can only imagine, might be like the first kiss from Paula Cathcart at fifteen and a half, after waiting since thirteen and half to get the courage. :)

Our pleasures get simpler as we get older. Free bullets are good. But Paula Cathcart she sure is beautiful.

Due to the huge demand in the US because of Obama fears many firearm product suppliers are working overtime, adding shifts & machinery to fill the demand. Hornady is a very good company & has always treated me right when I called for parts for my Lock N Load AP's.
Their shelves have been bare as have RCBS' for months now. To fault them because they don't have promotional product to send out is not fair. Has anybody seen the reloading aisles at stores in the US lately? Looks like a Communist era Grocery store.
I'm sure Hornady wishes they had more product to actually sell too.
Ask dealers on this forum when they will be getting product & see if they will give you a firm date for delivery. Not likely & not their fault.

It wasn't really free! I paid out $21.00 US and at the time it was about $35.00Can.

Blacksmithen now I'm pissed and I will email them until they get sick of me:mad:

The fun I could have with a 1000 44 mag bullets. "OH BOY OH BOY" ( to quote a friend I met at the range in Parksville by the scale, I believe his name was John)

?? free stuff ??

This thread has somehow gotten off of topic , the original query was , did Hornady ship direct to you or was it thru a Canadian dealer with stock . I am still trying to find a way to get my out of spec. brass back to the factory and replacements to me they have told me they will give warrantyon the out of spec product but the factory says it cannot ship to Canada. with the exception of a importing dealer!!!

Because some people bought the Hornady product just to get the free bullets that they have yet to receive. If they knew that they would have to wait many months, they may have bought some other product.

Your right we did get off topic, Sorry. Can where you bought them help you out? All the parts I have received from Hornady have come right from the main address.

I was at P&D in Edmonton a while back and they had a large Hornady selection. Matbe someone like that might help you out (I doubt it but it may be worth a try)

But it is still FREE!

End of story.

If it took YEARS to ship.......then you might have a valid piont.
